Position holder assists members with their financial transactions promptly, maintaining the highest standard of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality, and builds strong member relationships by providing quality service and recommending products and services to meet the members’ financial needs. At a minimum, the individual in this role will be responsible for:

  • Processing routine financial transactions with speed and accuracy, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash advances, selling money orders and cashier’s checks.

  • Posting and balancing daily transactions and verifying cash and check totals.

  • Performing a variety of member services in person and on the phone.

  • Complying with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Able to travel between local branch locations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be bondable.

  • Experience:

  • Member Service Specialist I: Six (6) months significant cash handling and customer service experience. One (1) year experience in the financial services industry preferred.

  • Member Service Specialist II: Six (6) to twelve (12) months related experience in financial services industry. Vault/ATM experience preferred.

  • Member Service Specialist III: 1-3 years related experience in the financial services industry with a high level of direct customer services. Vault/ATM experience required. Credit Union experience preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to assist others; excellent math skills and accuracy handling cash.

    • Ability to understand and apply detailed procedures and information about all products and services.

    • Ability to operate related computer applications and office equipment including money-counting machine.

Financial Operations Specialist I

Monday thru Friday 8:45am-5:15pm

Full-Time with Benefits

In-Office Clerical Setting

  • Primary electronic services contact to respond to, research, and solve routine member questions/problems/complaints. Serve members promptly and professionally on the phone and in person when needed.

  • Assist members via remote channels to provide first-line troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  • First level of support for plastic card program and handles fraud and charge-back requests.

  • Provide assistance to staff and departments regarding complex member inquiries and requests regarding electronic services.

  • Perform other department tasks/duties.

  • Strictly adhere to Member Identification Program (MIP) and follow policy and procedure related to Regulation E (Electronic Funds Transfer Act), BSA/OFAC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) to ensure compliance with current regulations.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of college-level accounting preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in a financial institution; preference will be given to one (1) year TMH Federal Credit Union experience.

  • Must be bondable.

  • Knowledge: Basic accounting concepts and procedures. Strong knowledge of spreadsheets word processing and database applications.

  • Skills:

o   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; excellent math skills with a demonstrated ability for a high level of accuracy and follow through.

o   Ability to prioritize and organize work.

o   Ability to understand and apply detailed procedures and information.

o   Ability to operate related computer applications and office equipment.

Financial Operations Specialist II

Monday thru Friday 8:45am-5:15pm

Full-Time with Benefits

In-Office Clerical Setting

  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational support related to the IRA account program.

  • Responsible for accounts payable. Responsibilities include clerical duties involving daily share draft and automated clearinghouse (ACH) functions in a timely, accurate manner and account reconciliations in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedures.

  • Assist members in solving issues or questions with plastic card issues and share draft/ACH items.  Serve members promptly and professionally in person and on the phone.

  • Perform a variety of account maintenance duties and other assigned tasks as required.

  • Perform Financial Operations Specialist I duties as needed.

  • Follow policy and procedure related to Regulation E (Electronic Funds Transfer Act), BSA/OFAC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Member Identification Program (MIP) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: college-level accounting courses such as Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting.

  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of account reconciliations. Preference will be given for two (2) years’ experience at a credit union or other financial institution. One (1) year IRA experience required.

  • Must be bondable.

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.

  • Skills:

    • Organized and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; excellent math skills with a demonstrated ability for a high level of accuracy and follow through.

    • Ability to understand and apply detailed procedures and information.

    • Ability to operate related computer applications and office equipment.
